I have been in school the past two years in Minnesota. Last year, I attended the Musical Stringed Instrument Repair and construction course in Red Wing, MN. http://www.redwingmusicrepair.org There I learned to repair acoustic and electric guitars, I learned about wood technology, and I built a 12 string acoustic "from scratch". This trade is really amazing to be in. It requires such skill and craftsmanship.
This year I am attending The National Institute of Woodfinishing in Rosemount, MN. http://woodfinishing.org/ This school focuses on the finishing aspect of woodworking. This school has been even more exciting to see all of the opportunities available in this field!
School is closing out in a few weeks and it's employment time...
Julia and I will be heading out to Nashville, TN in a month or so. I was hired at a custom guitar shop as the full time Finisher. http://www.southboundcustom.com/ I start in the beginning of June! What a blessed providence. I am thankful to the Lord Jesus for his tender care over his sheep! Please pray for God's hand of leading in all things that come with uprooting your life to move to another state. Thank you, family.
Love in Christ,
Joshua
